House Ayares

House Ayares is a former noble family of Silvermoon that achieved prominence in trade, society and politics before the fall of Silvermoon to the Scourge in the year 22.

History

The Ayares line traces all the way back to one Velenmar Rauzen Ayares Summerfeather (formerly known as Velenmar Ayares), one of many Highborne exiles at the time. He initiated the establishment of the first Ayares vineyards and after quite a few setbacks managed to create a successful financial foothold paving the way forward for his successors. While this did not remain as the main source of income for the Ayares family, the family took great pride in their wine brand known as "Rauzen", a bottle or two helping close more than one deal in the future.

Over the coming years the Ayares family steadly increased their wealth and influence using careful diplomacy, planned marriages and under the leadership of Lyndrine Ayares Rightveil expanded their business ventures into the trade and production of luxury goods such as clothing and jewelry. During her reign as house matriarch the family's social standing reached it's peak.

In the year 22 during the invasion of Quel'Thalas by the Scourge and subsequent fall of Silvermoon most of the Ayares including the family heads Tyndanis Ha'danas Ayares and Emelatha Sabiyya Ayares were slain, the family estate destroyed and their vineyards ravaged by the undead hordes. The only ones to successfully escape the carnage were the two brothers of Tyndanis - Amdis & Thevalur entrusted with his children Tandis & Inara.
