Legion Legendaries
Hey guys! At long last are explaining and will be opening up applications for Legion Legendaries. In this thread you will find what makes Legion Legendaries different from other Legendaries, a list of them, rules for them and how to apply for them.
The difference between Legion Legendaries and other Legendaries
So for those who have been on the server for awhile, you know by now you can create your own Legendary Weapons as well as obtain the canon ones. Normally these items have one or two effects along with a passive. Legion Legendaries however will be different. They should contain one big effect, no passives and can have plenty of fluff. They should also be armor, necklaces, rings or trinkets. They cannot be weapons. In essence view Legion Legendaries as another Gold Trait but not tied to an artifact. This does not mean however, you have to have an artifact to get a legendary. These can be gained by ANYONE, regardless of status in the Order Hall or if they have an artifact or not.
List of Legion Legendaries
In short, there are ALOT. At Least 200+ for people to play around with. I cannot list them all here so instead I will give you this link from Wowpedia: https://wow.gamepedia.com/Legendary_items
Scroll down to the Legion section of the page to view them. However, one of those Legendaries will be unobtainable: Aman'Thul's Vision. This one drops from Argus. This item will be looked over by the staff and may be used for something else down the line as we get closer to Argus.
Players will also be able to craft their own Legion Legendaries! These will be specific items that are listed below. Multiple of these items can be created, under the reason the recipes for them will be available among the Order Halls but they can have different effects depending on player preferences.
Legion Legendaries Craftable by players
The Sentinel's Eternal Refuge: Leather Boots
Vigilance Perch: Mail Gloves
Rethu's Incessant Courage: Plate Belt
Celumbra, the Night's Dichotomy: Cloth Shoulders
Additionally the Epic Versions of the Pandarian Cloaks can also be made into Legion Legendaries! These cloaks cannot become as strong as the original legendaries(as Wrathion is not around to empower them) but can be treated as Legion Legendaries, following the same rules. As with the crafted Legion Legendaries, there is no limit on these and multiple characters can get these cloaks. They should however, do something or pass some sort of trial for the cloaks patron Celestial.
Jadefire Drape: Yu’lon
Cranewing Cloak: Chi’ji
Oxhorn Bladebreaker/Oxhoof Greatcloak: Niuzao
Tigerclaw Cape/Tigerfang Wrap: Xuen
Rules for Legion Legendaries
The Staff has decided upon a set of rules for those who want Legion Legendaries.
1. You can now have two (2) on a character for a total of four (4) per player, instead of the previous ruling of one per character and two in total. This ALSO means you can have four split between four characters. However, as always, we require activity on characters that are handed any kind of (Legion) Legendaries or items of significance.
2. As stated before, Legion Legendaries effects shall be treated as an extra gold trait, not a passive and is allowed to have extra fluff.
3. When creating storylines and effects for these Legendaries, they should generally match to their available lore and what the item does. This is not always 100% possible but we do expect players to use good judgement when creating these. For example, a Paladin legendary doing Fel abilities or vice versa. If you need help, the staff is always here.
4. Some Legendaries will be restricted to certain classes, some won’t be. They also won’t be as tied to specs as the artifacts are though we again ask players to use good judgment when applying for them. Because there are so many, the staff cannot separate them all so we ask if players are unsure or want to use a Legendary outside of their class, they ask us first so we can look it over. Craftable Legendaries and Pandaria Epic Cloaks are not class locked.
5. Legion Legendaries ARE transmogable!
