Hey guys. Just a quick announcement about Demon Hunters. In the past there has been a loose rule about how demon hunters can be created. Its drifted between you must train to become one, too starting off as a weak one depending on your faction. This presents two problems.
1. Many demon hunter characters made by players either aren’t around much or have gone inactive making training new demon hunters an almost impossible task.
2. The only faction where one could start off as a demon would be the Illidari but as we have stated in the past, former and current members are no longer allowed to be created.
So to ensure fairness to players who want to play this class we have created some new rules for them. We have also included what races can and cannot be trained as demon hunters.
So as of now
Night Elf and Blood elves can start off as demon hunters who have just finished their training. Remember to please regulate your power and know many of the more powerful spells demon hunters know, like Metamorphosis, would not be available to you just yet. Also remember these must be demon hunters trained on Azeroth. They cannot have been trained by Illidan or any of the Illidari
The races below can be trained as demon hunters. Keep in mind this is an irreversible choice and will have massive effects on how society, your faction and other people view you. Some races may struggle more than others and we may only allow certain exceptions to some races. If you wish to have a character of any of these races begin training to become a demon hunter please make CTS giving us details like background and reason for wanting to pursue this path.
Humans
Worgens: Only under very special circumstances.
Dwarf: Same as above. Only under very special circumstances
Orcs
Trolls
Finally these are the races that absolutely cannot become demon hunters. These are for many different reasons. Physical or cultural values would be too great and break lore too much for these races to become demon hunters at this time.
Pandaren
Goblins
Draenei
Gnome
Tauren
Undead
High Elf
