[Important] Regarding Loot

Hey, everyone!

After deliberating about the subject of loot, the Staff would like to encourage Storytellers and Players alike to do more with it.

For Storytellers more specifically, perhaps making some different choices regarding the creation of loot - maybe this item has no enchantment at all, but a diferent trait, perhaps it's the story of the item that's the good thing about it - and then, of course, the player could do whatever with it, add enchantments, reforge it, maybe even return it to whoever it belongs to, which brings us to the next point: Quest items!

Perhaps this item will lead to another quest, and this quest is where the -real- reward is, or perhaps it is just an addition to the story it came from originally. This would all be up to the discretion of the Storyteller of course - personal or group stories, something with more meaning than your regular loot item, big or small quests, etc. This would create more roleplay for all the people involved.

For Players, we're completely fine if you don't want to host something but have an idea for a quest item or something of the likes! You could get someone to DM it for you, and you could go over the item(s) with us through a CtS thread. We're completely fine with players asking for help with ideas and the likes for their own characters, this also applies for items obviously - just make a CtS!

Don't think that this means -every- item should have a quest tied to it, or that the Staff is enforcing anything. This all comes down to whether the Storytellers and Players wish to do this or not - this whole announcement is about suggestions.

Happy roleplaying!
