Hey STs and Players, just your friendly neighborhood announcement! The Staff just wanted to give a reminder about custom lore, specifically if there's a question about it, if something is unclear, or there's a huge debate going on, we want to remind you, you may use, a variety of options of asking for Staff stance on a subject. You can contact us in a CtS thread if it's something more private or about an individual character idea, or concept. If it's a larger debate that would require us to speak to the whole of the community, you can contact us in the CtS about it or in one of the Lore questions topics you can ask here: [url="http://w11.zetaboards.com/WoW_Freedom/forum/4216869/"><s></s>http://w11.zetaboards.com/WoW_Freedom/forum/4216869/

The Staff will meet and discuss the lore in question, and get back within, and no longer than, a week. Furthermore, the Staff would like to remind STs and those running storylines that things that are NOT explained in lore, or have NOT a lot of lore on it, should NOT be given custom lore, unless you have talked to the staff about it in the CtS thread and we have given you permission to do stuff to a storyline. This is so we are in the know, and so certain lore concepts and ideas don't conflict with other lore concepts and ideas, as well as, we want to avoid setting lore that was purposely made ambiguous. Now we don't affect what player characters are thinking, or believing, but we are trying to keep our OOC players informed about lore we have accepted and allowed.

Finally, just as a quick note about RPG and Retail Lore. We follow retail lore, and we allow the use of RPG as a guideline and basis for things that are fuzzy or not very well explained, such as Runemasters, for example, but we prefer to follow canon and accepted lore over some lore that is contradicted in the RPG. We're not saying that the RPG is wrong in everything, or shouldn't be used, but we're saying it's important to look for an in-canon basis of a concept first before resorting to RPG, and if there are any questions feel free to ask us!
