The Game Object Viewer (Or GOBView, for short) has many functions besides just a browsing tool. It functions as a catalogue for managing and collecting objects into lists, as well as a toolbox for interacting with those objects as a Storyteller.

Its main usage should be fairly straight forward; To view and store objects into lists. It also sports a "sister" frame that is nearly an addon on its own, the Gob Toolbar. And although scary at first, most if not all game object-related commands have been turned into a button somehow. More about it on its section.

=== The GOB Collection. ===
By clicking the bookmark icon on the top right of the frame, you'll see a dropdown containing all of the collections you have stored.

To create a collection, simply "search" for it. If none are found, pressing enter or clicking the magnifying button will create a collection by that name.

Here you can also delete and rename your collections, as well as change their icons. To save an object to a collection, hover over its thumbnail and click the floppy disk icon. From there, you can select any of your lists. An object can be saved onto multiple lists.

To view a list's contents, find it on the tab bar above. You can perform searches on any given list, but only on that list.

=== The Gob Toolbar. ===
A little daunting at first, but if you've been using commands to build, then this should be easy for you.

Firstly, you'll need to have Gobs selected by using the select-by-radius field. As soon as it "grabs" objects, it'll put them on the "Selected Objects" frame, where you can more finely tune what objects you want to control by simply checking or unchecking them. By default, the addon will select all objects it picks up, so make sure you double check before moving stuff around.

Here's a rundown of the buttons and functionalities:

Compass Mode - Moves the selected objects in cardinal directions.

Axis Mode - Moves the selected objects relative to YOUR axis.

Ground Objects - Moves the selected objects to the closest terrain underneath it.

Floor Objects - Moves the selected objects to the closest collision underneath it

==== Memory Usage and Performance ====
3D Thumbnails comes at no small cost memory-wise, and long sessions of scrolling and saving objects will naturally increase memory usage and therefore, load times. The game's garbage collector will take care of the increase caused by navigating the objects as the game reuses the thumbnail grid, in about a minute or so.

However, it is only natural that the more lists and objects in those lists you have, the more memory the addon will demand. And, while not meant as a developer brag, I've done my best to optimize storage and we're talking about hundreds if not thousands of objects before there is even a dent in performance.
